I was trying to add my art to the forum when I noticed the form asked for a screenshot.  A screenshot of what exactly?  Call me naive but this is new to me.

Ah! That would have been in the Downloads module of the Forums. You only need to use the Downloads module if you want to upload really large files - (like high resolution, print quality images or short video clips up to 30MB...) - that you wish to make available for others to Download...

If you just want to share your art, you can set up your own albums in the Gallery or you can simply link to existing images in any Forums post... For example, you can click on the link icon, (next to the smiling face icon,) and then insert the URL to the image anywhere on the net. Alternatively, you can browse your computer using the "Browse" button and then click on "Attach This File" in order to attach an image to your Forums post. (Neither of these options will show-up if you are using the "Quick Reply" mode - you need to be using the "Full Editor" which will always be the case when you click "Reply," rather than "Quick Reply")

If you really want to use the Downloads module, a screenshot is any suitable image that gives users an idea of what they are about to download. It can be identical to the Full image - but just reduced in file size so that it loads quickly. Or, in the case of a video file, it can be any still frame from the video itself. The screenshot will then appear as a thumbnail against your file in the Downloads module.
